New York is known for its spectacular wedding venues, and they are some of the best venues that the nation has to offer. You have everything in one with wedding venues in New York, you're at the heart of everything that's happening in New York. Some venues can be a few hours from the city area while others are right at the heart. The venues north of New York City may not be the best, but they are some of the greatest you can find outside of the city. Let’s start with some of the best venues in New York City.
Having a wedding in the downtown part of New York City is definitely going to be extravagant and over the top. Some may find that they can have a smaller wedding in the city. However, the price of your reception along with everything else may drive your intimate wedding up just a little bit. If that fits your plans and your budget, then having a wedding in New York City is right up your alley!
One of the best venues in the city is the Manhattan Penthouse on Fifth Avenue. The next best venue that is located just outside of New York City is Russo’s On The Bay in Howard Beach, New York. And lastly, another great venue outside of the city would have to be the Thayer Hotel At West Point.
My personal favorite is the Thayer Hotel At West Point. Purely for the fact that it is so close to the water and has quite an exceptional view. The Thayer Hotel is geared more towards military couples; although, it is open to anyone. They also offer hotel rooms so that you can keep everyone close and safe and eliminate the stress of having to deal with renting shuttles. The only thing as great as the reviews on this hotel is the house chef, and wedding planner. What could be more useful at a wedding venue than a wedding planner? Looking back, I wish we had one because planning a wedding is quite the headache.

Next, The Manhattan Penthouse On Fifth Avenue is extremely popular and well-loved. This one is more of an upscale venue and if you are looking to spend a few extra dollars, this one may be up your alley. The Manhattan Penthouse is located in the Flatiron Building so you are able to see the city from both sides of the building. It is a spectacular view! Especially at night, it is seamless!
Lastly, Russo’s On The Bay is a popular venue outside of New York City. It is also a little pricey but it is a unique venue. This venue offers the option of coming out of the floor in a smokescreen effect for a dramatic entrance. My mom has a friend who actually came out of the floor when she had her wedding here. The wedding package here is a bit pricey, but if you have the money to spend, I highly recommend this venue. Russo’s On The Bay actually overlooks a bay so your wedding photos will have the beautiful waterfront backdrop resulting in some gorgeous memories. And if dessert is your thing, the dessert portions are so big, you'll have some to take home!
So make your decision wisely as all of these venues are popular and offer their own special incentives for hosting your wedding. When planning your wedding, consider these gorgeous New York wedding locations for a wedding no one will ever forget!
