Chef Jeremy Ford
Stubborn Seed is helmed by Chef Jeremy Ford, a 2022 James Beard Award semi-finalist and winner of season 13 of Bravo's Top Chef. Ford started in the culinary world at 14 when he discovered the art of cooking while visiting his grandmother in Jacksonville, Florida. Two years later, he was the garde-manager at a four-diamond Mediterranean-style restaurant, Matthew's.
At only 18, Ford was working at the famous L'Orangerie, where he honed his French cooking skills under executive chef Christopher Émé. He was working at the Matador Room when he competed in the 13th season of Top Chef in 2015. Ford won the competition and soon after opened Stubborn Seed in Miami, where he earned his first Michelin star in 2022. Stubborn Seed was a James Beard Award semi-finalist the same year and quickly became one of Miami's premier five-star restaurants.

Reservations are strongly encouraged through Stubborn Seed's website or by calling (786) 322-5211. Guests should note that the restaurant does not offer vegan or vegetarian dishes and cannot accommodate those who are dairy-free. There is a $50 per person cancellation fee if reservations are canceled within 24 hours of dining service. Cancellation fees double during peak or holiday seasons.
