Incredible Security Technology To Adopt In Your Luxury Home

A luxury home deserves to be protected from any harm. Unfortunately, you’ve got a target on your back; nicer homes will always attract burglars and thieves because they see it as a chance to steal something expensive. That’s why you need to arm your home with the latest security tech to prevent catastrophes.

A simple security alarm system won’t do; you should take inspiration from commercial security technology and implement some of these solutions in your home:

Access Control Gates

Set up an access control system outside your house as the first point of security. Copy what businesses and manor houses do by installing a gate for cars and people to drive through. Place your postbox outside the gate and it also stops delivery people from getting too close to your home. That sounds extreme, but you can never be too careful when a luxury property is concerned.

The access control gate can use a multitude of technologies to decide who it lets into your home. You can have a wireless card or dongle that you place on a scanner to open the gate. Or, a more advanced approach would be to have facial recognition cameras. They notice who’s by the gate and either allow or deny access.

Biometric Security Locks

If, for whatever reason, someone manages to bypass your access control gate, you should install biometric security locks on your doors and windows. These locks are only open when the right person is present. Obviously, you’d ensure that everyone in your family can open these security locks.

The power of advanced biometrics means you have to scan your fingerprint or palm to get through the security system. It’s a highly advanced piece of home tech and is almost impossible for a common thief to crack. You could either have this as your main locking mechanism or use it as part of a multi-factor authentication system.

For instance, you use the fingerprint scanner to unlock part of the door before using a physical key or a passcode as well. You’re putting more obstacles and barriers in the way of potential intruders, which keeps your home safe.

Night Vision Cameras

CCTV systems are essential for any high-value property, and you should already have some installed. However, commercial properties usually go one step further and use night vision cameras.

These cameras will record everything at night, providing a much clearer view of what’s happening around or inside your property. They can also operate on motion detection, meaning they turn on and record when motion is spotted at night. A lot of night vision CCTV cameras will display a green light when they’re on, which acts as an additional deterrent for wannabe intruders.

You can already see the vision come together. Arm your home with these incredible security technologies, and it’ll be safer than ever before. Access control gates and biometric locks work wonderfully to restrict access to your property. Night vision cameras ensure you never miss a beat and can scare away burglars before they even think about trying to break in.
